What is Home & Dashboard; how does it differ from a vService's own Dashboard?
Short answer
Home & Dashboard is the screen that comes after logging in to the TR7 interface and gathers the general status of the device in panels with a selectable time range. The content is divided into ten view tabs (Summary, vServices, WAF, L7 DDoS & Threat Protection, AGS, GTM, CPU & Load, Memory, Disk, Network): some of them show the hardware measurements of the device, and others show the totals of all the vServices and DNS services on the device. Its difference from a vService's own Dashboard is its scope: Home is device-wide and shows totals; the detail of a single vService is read on that vService's own Dashboard, which opens when the vService row is clicked in the Left Monitor Panel. Which tabs are shown is determined by the permission areas of the user; the panel layout is saved to the user account.

Common Misconceptions
- "A chart on Home leads to the related vService." Home shows totals; no transition from a value in the panels to the screen of the vService is offered, and the service detail is on the service's own Dashboard.
- "Everyone sees the same tabs." The tab of an area for which the user has no permission does not appear in the tab bar at all.
- "The layout on Home is common to all users." The panel layout and the toolbar preferences are saved to each user's own account.
